A cool lace-up boot – model Backhörnchen – made from the tried-and-tested Werner organic leather. All the leather is made from pollutant-free, chrome-free, vegetable-tanned organic leather produced in Germany.
Organic leather? That means the organic cattle from the Alpine region are allowed outside. They live on small, family-run farms.
When do I wear these shoes?
The lace-up boot is designed for long distances. Therefore, it's ideal for hiking. Combined with dress trousers, it's also a great companion for long workdays, especially if you're not spending all your time indoors.
The shoes are manufactured in Europe, and all the necessary raw materials come from Germany and neighboring countries. This avoids unnecessary transport and the associated CO2 emissions.
The leather for the shoes was vegetable-tanned and chrome-free in Germany.
