The Condor2 is made from 57% bio-based and recycled materials, including sugarcane, banana oil, rice waste, and Amazonian rubber. The use of rubber from the Amazon rainforest increases the economic value of the forest and contributes to the fight against deforestation. All shoes are manufactured in a 50-year-old factory specializing in running shoes in Ceará, northern Brazil, where working and living conditions, as well as the dignity of the workers, are valued and guaranteed (ILO standards). Certified B-company. Vegan. Material: The outsoles of the VEJA Condor 2 are 61% bio-based (30% rubber from the Amazon and 31% rice waste). The L-Foam cushioning technology offers 80% energy return and consists of 30% natural latex and 70% synthetic latex. The upper is made of Pebax RNew, a lightweight and durable material used in the production of lace-up shoes. VEJA uses a special version made from 100% castor oil. The letter V on the side of the shoe is also made from Pebax RNew, which is 100% castor oil. The insoles are 72% bio-based and recycled (51% sugarcane, 21% recycled plastic bottles). The midsole is 62% bio-based (57% sugarcane, 5% banana oil). The outsole is 61% bio-based (30% rubber from the Amazon rainforest, 31% rice waste). The panels are made from TPU.
