Find a quiet place, place your Shakti meditation cushion on the Shakti yoga mat or a soft surface, and make yourself comfortable.
If you are using the acupressure panel, place it on top of the cushion, spikes facing up. Start with thicker clothing to gradually get used to it. For a more intense sensation, opt for thinner clothing. Sit cross-legged or kneel on the cushion with your back straight and hips over your knees.
Close your eyes and breathe. Let the spikes anchor your mind in the here and now for the first 5 minutes. Don't worry: the meditation cushion is specifically designed for beginners who would like support during their practice.
Stay seated for 15-20 minutes to activate your body’s relaxation response. After your session, you can store the panel in the zippered compartment. Namaste!
