The seasonal calendar features 64 illustrations of the most common fruits, vegetables, and salad greens in Central Europe. The key not only tells you when each fruit and vegetable is in season, but also its optimal storage temperature. Better taste and a generally higher vitamin and nutrient content are just a few of the many good reasons to consult a seasonal calendar. Reduced water consumption, lower CO2 emissions, and supporting regional agriculture also speak in favor of consciously choosing seasonal produce. But all of this is linked to knowledge. That was precisely the driving force behind the seasonal calendar: to make learning easy and living better with a clear design. A timeless design and the calendar's perpetual validity effortlessly combine design and sustainability. Illustrator Francesca Mailandt created the drawings for the seasonal calendar in the classic style of copperplate engraving. Francesca is a lecturer in illustration and works at the Illustrators Trifolium. Julius Teske was responsible for the concept, and Funs Kurstjens for the design.
