Description

The Thor series of cutting boards is a purely untreated natural product. It is available in four different sizes. The wood thickness is 16mm for all sizes.
Oak was deliberately chosen for these cutting boards. Oak has the remarkable property of being antibacterial due to its high tannin content. The more cuts the board receives, the more tannins are released, combating bacteria. This makes the wooden boards more hygienic than plastic ones. The surface remains untreated to ensure this 100% effectiveness. Furthermore, the boards are crafted from a single piece of wood, eliminating the need for glue.
Sizes:
  • Small: 24×16 cm
  • Medium: 29×18 cm
  • Large: 34×20 cm
  • Extra Large: 41×20 cm
Care instructions:
  • Never clean in the dishwasher
  • Do not clean with dish soap (it will absorb the taste), rinse with cold water and then briefly with hot water.
  • Stand the board up to dry immediately after washing; too much water will cause it to warp.
  • You can clean it once a year with salt and lemon. Sprinkle salt on it and rub it with half a lemon.
Please note: Wood is a natural product. Therefore, it may vary in color and grain from the products shown. Each piece is unique.
Why is this product included in the "With Edges and Corners" category?
The boards may have minor cosmetic flaws, but these are not very noticeable.
Who is behind the product?
MINUUK sells sustainable furniture made from solid wood. The pieces are crafted in small carpentry workshops in Bavaria. Furthermore, MINUUK donates a portion of its profits to forestry projects in Germany each year.
