The wool felt used is naturally water-repellent. An additional polyurethane membrane makes the coat windproof and gives the material structure without sacrificing elasticity. The felted surface has a natural water-repellent quality.

LangerChen stands for high-quality jackets made from organic cotton, produced under fair conditions. The classic, urban designs are versatile and a must-have in every eco-conscious wardrobe. Fair production conditions at LangerChen: LangerChen is a German-Chinese project by designers Philipp Langer and Miranda Chen. Since 2009, the two have been setting an example for exemplary production conditions in China. All jackets and coats are sewn under fair conditions at their partner factory, JIECCO, near Shanghai. The factory is certified by the recognized GOTS textile standard. This standard monitors social and environmental conditions along the entire textile chain: from the organic cotton field to fabric production and garment sewing. In addition, the factory is regularly audited by the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which adheres to the highest international standards.
