More than ten years ago, the Dutch initiative Solidaridad had the idea of introducing organic cotton to the clothing market. They combined their experience with fair trade fruit and coffee and then set out to convince the major players in the denim industry to use organic cotton. Since these companies weren't interested, they decided to found their own label. Thus, Kuyichi was born in 2001. Since then, Kuyichi has been considered a pioneer not only of organic jeans, but also a leading force in the so-called "organic revolution."
