- Wipe the mat weekly with a damp cloth (water only!). If using the mat frequently, wipe it after every use.
- For a deeper cleaning, we recommend our all-plant-based mat cleaner. This was specially developed for natural rubber yoga mats.
- Do not use or dry the mat outdoors. Sunlight and UV light damage the natural rubber.
- Never use alcohol, essential oils, soap, detergents or other cleaning agents on your mat.
- Never put the mat in the washing machine or dryer.
Scent of the Jade Mat:
The mats are made of natural rubber, which has a very characteristic odor. This is completely harmless and will dissipate over time. Regularly airing the mat thoroughly will help. However, a slight residual odor will remain, and its intensity will vary from person to person. It is important to note that this odor is not a manufacturing defect and therefore not covered by the warranty.
Latex Info:
Although the mats are 99% latex-free, minimal traces of latex proteins may still be present because they are made from natural rubber sourced directly from rubber trees. Therefore, we recommend that people with latex allergies avoid contact with them.
