Jade's ELITE S mat was specially designed for intensive daily practice and is the most robust and durable JadeYoga mat. The Elite S is ideal for Ashtanga and other flowing, intensive yoga styles.
The extra-dense top layer gives the mat additional strength and durability, but is slightly less slip-resistant than other Jade mats. The underside then provides the familiar Jade grip with its open-pored natural rubber structure.
Scent of the Jade Mat:
The mats are made of natural rubber, which has a very characteristic odor. This is completely harmless and will dissipate over time. Regularly airing the mat thoroughly will help. However, a slight residual odor will remain, and its intensity will vary from person to person. It is important to note that this odor is not a manufacturing defect and therefore not covered by the warranty.

Although the mats are 99% latex-free, minimal traces of latex proteins may still be present because they are made from natural rubber sourced directly from rubber trees. Therefore, we recommend that people with latex allergies avoid contact with them.

Wipe the mat weekly with a damp cloth (water only!). For intensive practice, wipe after every use.
For a deeper clean, we recommend our all-natural, plant-based mat cleaner. This was specially developed for natural rubber yoga mats.
Do not use or dry the mat outdoors. Sunlight and UV light damage natural rubber.
Never use alcohol, essential oils, soap, detergents, or other cleaning agents on your mat.
Never put the mat in the washing machine or dryer.
