GRÜNSPECHT "Natural Heat Patches" with compostable filling* offer a practical and everyday heat application at home or on the go. The patch is not applied directly to the skin, but rather to a close-fitting garment, making it ideal for sensitive skin as it avoids potential irritation from contact with adhesive.
Instead of the sodium chloride salt found in many heat patches, the GRÜNSPECHT "Natural Heat Patch" contains potassium chloride, which is also used in plant fertilizers. Potassium serves as a plant nutrient, which is why, after application and cooling, the patch can be cut open and the entire filling disposed of easily and in an environmentally friendly way in organic waste or compost (one patch contents per 10 liters of compost) (study by Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology, 2019).
When you buy a twin pack, you will receive a 10-pack of heat patches for free, but without packaging. Product/application information:
Step 1 : Open the foil pouch at the perforation by hand to remove the heat patch. The heat patch is activated by contact with the air and then heats up on its own – therefore, the pouch should only be opened when the heat patch is ready to be used. When opening, make sure that the patch does not come into contact with moisture.
Step 2: Check the heat patch for damage before use. Do not use the product if the contents of the heat cell are leaking and/or the patch is damaged or torn.
Step 3: Remove the backing paper from the adhesive side of the plaster.
Step 4: Apply the heat patch firmly to the desired area of the body, using the adhesive side, on a close-fitting garment (e.g., a cotton undershirt). Smooth the patch down – it should not form any wrinkles or bulges. It may take up to 15 minutes for the patch to reach its heating effect.
Wear the heat patch for as long as you find it comfortable. It is recommended not to wear the patch for more than 12 hours within any 24-hour period. Slowly remove the heat patch after a maximum of 12 hours. If you notice slight reddening of the skin, this is due to the heat effect of the patch. If the skin is still red after several hours, do not use the heat patch until the redness has completely subsided. The patch is for single use only and should be disposed of after use.
