Who is behind the product?
Folkdays is a contemporary fair-trade design company founded in Berlin by Lisa Jaspers in 2013. They offer fairly produced jewelry, accessories, home products, and clothing from independent artisans, family businesses, and local fair-trade organizations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. With a focus on natural materials, all products are handmade and fairly traded. Each of these items is unique, combining traditional techniques with contemporary design influences. Beyond fleeting trends, the goal is to create products that are both timeless and distinctive.

We provide information and are transparent
Our mission is to dispel the outdated image of imperfect B- and C-grade goods and inspire and motivate greater appreciation for these unique products. As an online shop, we don't just want to sell products; we consciously and transparently explain the flaws of each product under the heading "Why is this product included in 'With Imperfections'?"
We are not perfect
We want to show what better consumption can look like. We are leading by positive example, drawing attention to companies that follow our lead, and want to inspire other brands to take a different path.
We want to do better
We reuse cardboard boxes as often as possible.
