Handcrafted jewelry plate made of kithul wood. It is produced on the south coast of Sri Lanka. Products made from this type of wood are exclusively sourced from kithul palms that are no longer used for agriculture. The palm has many uses; palm wine, known as toddy, is made from the inflorescence. A sweet powder is produced from the dried fruit pulp.
