The crepe sole is made of pure natural rubber and gives the shoe elasticity and grip. The organic cotton is doubled in the front area for additional stability. The Fair Sneaker Goto Lo is made of canvas twill organic cotton, which is grown by smallholder farmers. But Ethletic goes one step further: all the organic cotton comes from Fairtrade-certified producers and has been grown and traded according to Fairtrade standards. Fairtrade promotes better working and living conditions for cotton producers.

The sole is made from natural, FSC®-certified rubber from plantations in Sri Lanka. All Ethletic sneaker models are produced fairly in Pakistan. The supply chains that Ethletic products pass through are either Fairtrade or FSC®-certified and are monitored accordingly at the various production stages.

For every pair of sneakers sold, Ethletic pays an additional premium of one US dollar to the Talon Fairtrade Workers Welfare Society. This organization takes care of the workers in the production facilities. The funds are managed independently and go toward additional local healthcare, pension benefits, or educational projects.
