However, we strongly recommend avoiding washing with soap in lakes, rivers, or the sea altogether! Even a small amount of soap can alter the pH level of the water and disrupt the habitat of millions of organisms. Therefore, make sure you are at least 60 meters away from the nearest body of water, as this allows the soapy water to be filtered by the soil and rocks.
