Description

This pretty card can not only be given as a gift, but also planted . Instructions are on the back of the folded card. The plantable card contains chamomile seeds. The card comes with a recycled kraft paper envelope.
Planting:
Sowing can begin indoors from the beginning of March; choose a bright location. From the beginning of May, the chamomile can be planted outdoors. Since chamomile seeds are light-dependent germinators, they must not be covered by the soil.
Location:
Chamomile thrives in bright light, even full sun. However, it also tolerates lower light levels well. It is particularly important that the soil is nutrient-rich and humus-rich. Slightly sandy clay or loam soils are ideal for chamomile.
Care:
This lovely medicinal herb needs plenty of water. The amount depends on the soil, however. Loamy and clay soils retain water very well. The higher the sand content of the soil, the more water is required. Otherwise, chamomile is easy to care for and doesn't need fertilizing. If you sow it in autumn, the frost-sensitive seedlings should be covered.
Why is this product included in the "With Edges and Corners" category?
The cards may have minor imperfections in the paper, but these are not particularly noticeable.
Who is behind the product?
The Growing Calendar is a Nuremberg-based startup that's fed up with our throwaway culture. Their calendars and maps are designed to have long-term, sustainable use and make gardening accessible to everyone.
