With "Art on Broken Pieces," DAWN Denim gives jeans a new life. What others discard, Dawn Denim transforms into something special. Jeans that other manufacturers consider worthless and throw away by the ton become valuable, one-of-a-kind pieces. Despite careful workmanship and high-quality materials, there is occasionally a "broken piece"—a pair of jeans with a minor cosmetic flaw. But does that mean it has to be thrown away? No—quite the opposite. DAWN Denim sees it as a magical opportunity to transform something imperfect into something unique through loving and original hand embroidery.
We think that's fantastic, of course, and have teamed up with DAWN Denim to create a pair of jeans "with character" for you. Custom-designed patches have been sewn onto the imperfect parts of the jeans: "Why so perfect, honey?" or "no space for waste".

• Organic cotton is used in the production process, which is grown without pesticides and other harmful substances that are detrimental to humans or nature.

Black Denim:

• Organic Powerstretch Denim
• Material: 19% Viscose (Rayon), 2% Elastane Spandex®, 66% Organic Cotton, 13% Polyester Repreve®
• With a small leg slit
• High waist, skinny leg
• The garments are made using Repreve, a recycled polyester fiber made from PET bottles (nine to sixteen bottles per pair of trousers).

Silver Denim:

• Material: 10% polyester, 26% cotton, 4% elastane Spandex®, 60% organic cotton
• High waist, skinny leg
• Organic cotton is used in the production process, which is grown without pesticides and other harmful substances that are detrimental to humans or nature.

Medium Grey:

• Material: 65% organic cotton, 7% cotton, 27% polyester Repreve®, 1% elastane

The jeans have small imperfections in the fabric in various places, which have been covered with patches (see example photos).

Who is behind the product?

DAWN Denim, based in Berlin, produces sustainable and fair jeans in its own factory in Saigon, Vietnam. DAWN envisions a just world where fair fashion production is the norm.
