The "HIDALGO" leather sandal with a partial leather sole combines the elegant design of an Oxford shoe with the traditional character of a Mexican huarache. Fairly and skillfully handcrafted by Mexican artisans, it is made of vegetable-tanned, breathable leather and features a softly padded insole for excellent comfort and high quality. The huarache sandal quickly and smoothly adapts to the individual shape of the foot.

CANO was founded in 2016 by childhood friends Philipp Mayer and Lukas Pünder from Düsseldorf, inspired by their time in Mexico and the local shoemaking tradition. The brand stands for sustainably and fairly produced huaraches, handcrafted in Mexican family workshops – with complete transparency thanks to their innovative retraced tool.
