A Chelsea boot is a must-have in every shoe collection. While this classic ankle boot originated in England, it's now at home all over the world. The interpretation of the Chelsea boot is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship – Goodyear welt construction, a cork insole, and a cork lining are features we consider essential in any genuine, handcrafted leather shoe.
The boots are made in a small workshop in Leon, Mexico, under fair working conditions. The high-quality leather comes from the same city – specifically from Mexico's most modern and sustainable tanneries (LEFARC and Panamericana de Bajio), both certified by the Leather Working Group.
A product is truly sustainable only if it is also durable. At CANO, it is particularly important to us that our shoes not only look good and are fairly produced, but that our customers also enjoy them for as long as possible. For this reason, we use high-quality materials that are particularly robust and the Goodyear welt construction, which makes resoling especially easy when the soles wear out after a certain period.

CANO was founded in 2016 by childhood friends Philipp Mayer and Lukas Pünder from Düsseldorf, inspired by their time in Mexico and the local shoemaking tradition. The brand stands for sustainably and fairly produced huaraches, handcrafted in Mexican family workshops – with complete transparency thanks to their innovative retraced tool.
