The PALMA woven blanket is a large throw blanket for the sofa or as a bedspread.
Inspired by classic still lifes and botanical copperplate engravings, the minimalist motifs bring a modern statement to the sofa. Soft pastel shades contrast with bold contrasting colors.
Cheerful without being frivolous. Minimalist yet vibrant. A fluffy piece of the Mediterranean and summer sunshine for a cozy home.
All blankets are woven from 100% organic cotton under strict, environmentally friendly controls. The raw materials themselves come from sustainable forestry and are processed purely mechanically. As a final step in production, the blanket is brushed and sheared on both sides, resulting in a soft pile.
The cotton used for the woven blankets is sourced by my weaving mill from cultivation projects of the bioRe® Foundation in Tanzania. The purpose of this Swiss foundation is to promote organic farming in cotton-growing regions. It supports infrastructure development in the areas of education, health, and livelihood security, and promotes the participation of farming communities with a human rights-based approach.
