Description

Gaya, the square seagrass basket with handles from atisan, has the perfect shape to keep things tidy as a storage basket on a shelf. Its mesh structure and two handles also make it a natural and unique alternative to the classic laundry basket.
This basket was handwoven from natural materials. The partner producers in Thanh Hóa work with sustainable materials, completely avoiding plastic and artificial dyes. The different colors result from the use of various fibers. Furthermore, the color variations of seagrass and other fibers are also influenced by the varying duration of sun-drying. Additionally, waste products from other raw materials, such as banana leaves and corn husks, are incorporated to complete the basket designs.
Sizes: S, M, L
  • Dimensions without handle (L x W x H)
  • L: 46cm x 34cm x 28cm
  • M: 43cm x 30cm x 26cm
  • S: 37cm x 26cm x 24cm
Care:
Seagrass baskets are robust and durable. However, they don't like moisture. Therefore, always keep your basket dry and wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth to dust it. Please do not fill the basket with moist food or items.
Facts:
  • Note: The individual strands of seagrass in the Gaya basket are delicate and therefore not suitable for excessively heavy loads.
  • Origin: The Gaya basket was handmade by a family business in Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
  • Material: The Gaya basket is hand-woven from seagrass. Its green color hue transforms into a warm beige after a short time.
Why is this product included in the "With Edges and Corners" category?
The baskets in the "third choice" category have more significant cosmetic defects, such as cracks in the body. See example images.
