The second candle is burning

Weihnachtlicher Gruß mit „Schönen 2. Advent“ auf grün-rotem Hintergrund mit dekorativen Zweigen.
And just like that – the second Sunday of Advent is already here! We don't know about you, but we on the team are already in full Christmas spirit. Fairy lights adorn every available corner, and the first Christmas cookies have already been baked (and devoured). There's just one thing missing, and it's becoming increasingly urgent: Christmas presents! If you feel the same way, we've put together another little list of imperfect gift ideas. Plus, we have a delicious recipe and a new giveaway for you.

It's snowing, it's snowing, everyone come out of the house!

Last week we were delighted to see the first snow of the season! Unfortunately, there wasn't quite enough for snow angels, but maybe next time. Don't fancy braving the dreary weather to brave the crowded city centers for gift shopping? We've put together a few ideas from our Imperfektshop for you.

Make your loved ones happy:

  • For anyone whose New Year's resolution list includes "more exercise," the BLACKROLL training mat is the ideal motivation. Whether it's a sweaty workout or relaxing flexibility exercises and yoga, the exercise mat offers both the necessary grip and good cushioning for a safe and effective training session.
  • Speaking of New Year's resolutions: They're sure to be even easier to keep with the simply designed and clearly laid-out annual planners from SANS.design !
  • Our "Time for You" Imperfect Box contains a colorful selection of pampering items. Especially during the often hectic Christmas season, self-care is frequently neglected. The Imperfect Box helps you make up for lost time and find some peace and quiet.
  • Looking for a new favorite blanket? The "Emma" cuddly blanket from RIEMA is the perfect companion for the upcoming winter. It's super soft, fairly and ecologically produced in Germany, and also a pretty accessory for any living room or bedroom.
Good to know: All orders received by December 16th will arrive in time for Christmas. So mark your calendars!

Christmas time is also mulled wine time! Especially here in Nuremberg, of course. For everyone who likes a little variety or isn't a fan of mulled wine, we've found a delicious alternative: apple punch! Especially with the icy temperatures outside, there's hardly anything better than snuggling up at home with a warm, steaming mug in your hands, festive aromas in the air, and ideally with a loved one or two by your side.

Christmas apple punch:

  • 1 liter of naturally cloudy apple juice
  • 1 organic orange
  • a small piece of ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3-5 cloves
  • 1 apple
  • Optional: Apple/date/maple syrup for extra sweetness

Directions:

  1. Wash the orange thoroughly and finely grate some of the zest. Then juice the orange. Peel the ginger and cut it into thin strips.
  2. Put the grated zest, orange juice and ginger into a pot with the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil once.
  3. Cut the apple into thin strips and use a small cookie cutter to cut out shapes (or cut them out like we did - don't be afraid of imperfection!?)
  4. Pour the liquid through a sieve into a pretty cup, decorate with the apple-shaped molds and enjoy.

We hope you have fun recreating this and soaking up the warmth!

Just like last week, we're having another great giveaway on our Instagram page this Sunday. This time it's all about being "practical on the go"! You could win a laptop bag from GOT BAG and a fantastic water bottle from Carry, among other prizes. Take a look and try your luck!
Speaking of practical things to do on the go – we have one last little suggestion for you: Why not take some time this week for a walk in the winter countryside? Next week, we've prepared a cool DIY project for which natural materials like small fir branches or nuts might be useful. See you next week!
