Susanne Hochherz is a fashion designer with a passion. In her studio in Nuremberg, she designs sportswear under her label Trikotesse that is casual but incredibly versatile.

Trikotesse stands for unusual sportswear that is unconventional and elegant.

What I immediately loved about Susanne's fashion was her relaxed style. It's incredibly important to Susanne that her clothes are versatile and therefore appeal to such a diverse range of people. She also values timeless design and the ability to wear a garment for a long time. I visited Susanne back in April for Fashion Revolution Day and wrote about her fashion then.

Handmade fashion from Nuremberg

Susanne primarily uses jersey, French terry, and tricot for her collections, which she then combines with materials such as silk. What makes her designs special is the hand-finishing (e.g., with rivets) or printing. All garments are handmade in Susanne's studio, either as unique pieces or in small series.

Resource conservation and recycling of materials - two important basic principles at Trikotesse

A large portion of Susanne's clothing carries a GOTS certificate.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading standard for the processing of textiles made from organically produced natural fibers. It defines high-level environmental requirements along the entire textile production chain, as well as the social criteria that must be met (www.global-standard.org).

In addition, Susanne processes leftover stock and also likes to recycle other clothing items.

You can find out more about Susanne's fashion on her website or her social media channels ( Facebook and Instagram ).
